Work on the Marigot Hospital which will serve the North East of the island is complete.
That announcement came from Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit during his Annou Palé program on Sunday.
The new Marigot Hospital will have a 75-bed capacity and will provide a wide range of medical services to the residents of the North East of the island.
Essential services will include an ambulatory service unit, emergency care, intensive care unit, maternity, and pediatric unit, laboratory and radiology services, and trauma center.

On Monday, the Prime Minister led a delegation of government officials to a site visit in the North East of the island which also included a visit to the New Marigot Hospital.
Director of the Government Information Service, Daryl Titre who was also present at that site visit, said on State-Owned Radio that the hospital will soon be handed over to the Government of Dominica.
